Buddy name: Lydia Lee

2nd February 2012
My buddy is called Lydia Lee from Singapore. The book is like a diary. She understands the sentences and reads them dramatically, with full stops and rests. She raises her voice when needed.

23rd February 2012
Lydia's book today was still a diary. She stops when she has any questions or when she doesn’t understand the book. My EBI for her is to choose another style of book instead of diaries and comic books all the time.

1st March 2012
Lydia and I were reading a book about car and car races. She was reading a little fast and was skipping lines quite often, so I told her to slow down the pace and I used my fingers to point through the lines. The book is challenging, it is much harder than the books she read in the previous weeks.

8th March 2012
Today we read a book called 'Dairy of a Wimpy Kid'. We looked up some vocabularies firm the dictionary that we both weren't about. Lydia emphasizes the key words while reading which is really good. EBI is: she should slow down the pace next time when reading.

15th March 2012
We read a book called Lucy B. Parker today. Lydia emphasizes the words when she needs to which is pretty challenging for Y5s. She sometimes read too fast and I always have to remind her to slow down. We looked up some words in dictionary as well.
